Hieroglyphics

Hieroglyphs are written in columns or rows. When arranged in columns, the text is read from the top of the page down. When arranged in rows, the characters are usually read from right to left, like Arabic. They are sometimes read from left to right, like English. To figure out which direction to read, look for a human or animal. They face the beginning of the line, or where you should start from.
